Half Day on the Boards on The Cayes Those who just want to get on an SUP and explore the mangrove islands that make up the nearby Blue Ground Range of cayes this is for you. We leave The Sittee River Marina at 8.30 and make the 30 min boat journey out to the reef. We do between 2 and 3 rs on the boards in the calm waters of the mangroves looking for rays, manatees, dolphins and other marine life live there. This is a great way to try SUP, it's not hard and you get a great core workout. We return to marina by 12.30. US$85pp Includes SUP, paddle, life jackets, water and refreshments. Paddle and Snorkel Barrier Reef Exploring the mangrove lagoons and creeks of The Southern Barrier Reef on a paddle board adds another dimension to your reef experience. We leave The Sittee River Marina at 9am. After a 30 min boat ride out to The Barrier Reef the boards are set up at an island and the paddling starts. Any newbies can be given an introduction to paddle boarding in this calm and controlled area. Once we are all comfortable we can go exploring and find the unique snorkel sites of this area. After a break and some lunch we go to another area of the reef where paddling and snorkeling can be done again. Return to the marina at approximately 3pm. US$135pp Includes snorkeling gear, paddle board, paddle, life jacket, park fees, light lunch and refreshments Sittee River Paddle The majestic Sittee River rises deep within the Maya Mountains and snakes its way out to sea with it's mouth just south of of Hopkins. We Leave the shop at 8 am and take a 30 min ride up to The Sittee River where we launch the boards. The river flows fast but smoothly at this point and there is no white water at any stages. The paddle is 7 miles through riverine rainforest looking for parrots, toucans, manatees and possibly the elusive jaguar. We arrive at the pick up point in Sittee River Village by 1pm. US$70pp Includes paddle board, paddle, life jacket, water and light refreshment Snorkel the Barrier Reef The Southern Barrier Reef offers several different snorkeling sites for both beginners and experienced snorkelers in a pristine environment.The tour leaves The Sittee RiIver Marina at 9am a short run down the jungle river and then it's a 30 min to the first snorkel site. Conservation and safety are the two key words of this trip and a certified Belizean tour guide who would love to share his passion and knowledge of the ocean will guide you through the snorkeling Enjoy beautiful coral gardens teeming with all types of marine life and once that first coral reef is explored we go to an idyllic island to have refreshments and a break there is a short trip to the next snorkel site for more underwater exploring.
